As the seasons change and everything starts feeling a little more *cosy*, there's nothing quite like a big old cup of hot chocolate to get the autumnal vibes going. Costa Coffee's range is elite (Terry's Chocolate Orange hot chocolate, come on), and they've made it even more so today with the relaunch of their Black Forest Hot Chocolate.

Yes, that's right. The coffee chain's winter dessert-inspired hot chocolate is back on the menu after being unexpectedly removed from the menu in Autumn 2022.

Perplexed by the change in menu, dedicated customer Emma Hammond campaigned for the return of the hot drink, rallying fellow super fans and even starting a petition.

The campaign was successful, and Emma is now Costa's Black Forest Hot Chocolate ambassador.

The newly appointed ambassador said: “I was heartbroken when I found out that Costa Coffee took Black Forest Hot Chocolate off its menu last year. For years, the Black Forest Hot Chocolate has been a staple to my festive preparations and having it off the menu would have totally ruined my annual celebrations!"

Now, BFHC fans can celebrate the festive season properly as the drink is available in Costa Coffee shops nationwide from 2nd November. The Black Forest Hot Chocolate is made with a rich hot chocolate, blended with cherry sauce, topped with cream and a drizzle of cherry sauce to finish it off. You can order the drink with a variety of dairy-free milk alternatives (almond milk would be a total winner here for flavour).

If you're a part of the Costa Club, you can get your hands on the new hot choc from today just by showing your Costa Coffee app in-store.
